James Birkett

Director

James first joined Rebalance Clinic in 2017 as an associate osteopath, becoming one of the clinic’s directors in 2021. Prior to his work at Rebalance Clinic, James has worked in several fields of health and social care. studied medicine after leaving school, which gave him a solid foundation in healthcare. However, his path took a different turn when he transitioned into social care, working in mental health and homelessness services.

It was during his time working with the homeless that James suffered an injury to his own back. Facing the option of taking strong painkillers for weeks, he was instead introduced to the idea of osteopathy by his doctor. After experiencing significant improvement after just a couple of visits, James became inspired by the effectiveness of osteopathy and decided to retrain as an osteopath himself. This pivotal moment led him to become not only a practitioner of osteopathy but someone who deeply values the power of non-invasive, holistic treatments.

James’s unique background in both traditional medicine and osteopathy gives him a well-rounded perspective on healthcare. He brings this dual knowledge to his practice, which he finds incredibly beneficial in treating patients with a variety of health concerns. His experience in both the medical and osteopathic fields enables him to approach treatment from a broad and informed perspective, ensuring that each patient receives the best possible care tailored to their needs.

Andrew Creevy

Director

Andrew Creevy is the co-founder of Rebalance Clinic, a clinic he established nearly 10 years ago with the vision of providing high-quality osteopathic care to a wide variety of clients. Before embarking on his career in osteopathy, Andrew explored several other professional paths, which ultimately led him to realise that his true passion lay in physical health. This passion for helping others, combined with his background in sports, particularly gymnastics, sparked his desire to become an osteopath.

Born in Bath and now based in London, Andrew’s decision to pursue osteopathy was driven by his own experiences with physical medicine as a gymnast. Having dealt with the physical

demands and injuries associated with gymnastics, he understood the importance of effective, holistic treatment in managing and preventing injuries. His first-hand experience of how physical medicine could alleviate pain and improve performance played a pivotal role in his decision to retrain and pursue a career in osteopathy.

Since founding Rebalance Clinic, Andrew has primarily worked within the performance space, treating professional dancers, actors and athletes, alongside a diverse range of other patients. His work with dancers and actors is especially fulfilling, as it allows him to combine his passion for performance with his expertise in osteopathy. These two groups form the core of the clinic’s clientele, yet Andrew and the team at Rebalance Clinic are committed to helping people from all walks of life. Whether it’s individuals dealing with chronic pain, sports injuries, or just looking to improve their general health and wellbeing, Andrew is dedicated to providing each patient with a personalised treatment plan that addresses their specific needs.
